How to prepare for your inspection

All parties involved want a smooth, worry-free home inspection.  The buyer clearly loves the home, the seller is excited to move towards their next chapter in home ownership, and the real estate agents are looking to provide smooth transitions into closing.  Here are a few items that will help prevent an incomplete inspection:

  1. Make sure all utilities are on: water, electric, and gas (confirm gas pilot lights are lit).

  2. Clear any items from blocking access to HVAC equipment, electric service panels, water heaters, attics, and crawlspaces.

  3. Unlock areas your home inspector will need access to, including: attic hatches, crawlspaces, garages, closets, fence gates, and electric service panels.

  4. Protect your pets. Safely secure your pets in a crate if you choose to have them on premises during the inspection.

We look forward to serving you!
